Software
Logic is crafting the world’s first configure-to-order software for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. Built on the research of the Center for Offsite Construction (CfOC), it unites three breakthroughs: configuration rules defined by the new modular connectivity standard, legal templates that modernize construction agreements, and manufacturing workflows informed by lessons from the CfOC’s master’s program. Together, these elements form a digital operating system that connects design, data, and delivery.
Configuring, Not Drawing or Modeling.
Logic’s platform reimagines the role of design software. Instead of starting from a blank screen, users assemble pre-engineered pods and panels governed by shared configuration rules derived from the CfOC-ICC-1220 standard. The products are already designed & engineered — they have their own SHUs! Their digital components already “know” how they connect, comply, and perform—eliminating the costly, repetitive translation between design intent and construction detail.

The housing issues facing our communities demand this new creative process, grounded in certainty. Designers focus on spatial composition and performance outcomes while Logic’s configurator handles compatibility, compliance, and connection in real time — bridging the gap between concept and construction.
Agent-Based Planning, Baked in.
Logic’s planning has always anticipated the near future of agent-based reasoning to aid design. Instead of relying on static models or manual input, digital “agents” represent the perspectives of builders, inspectors, and manufacturers, responding to each configuration with actionable feedback. These agents simulate production capacity, code compliance, and supply chain conditions, giving users immediate insight into what can be built, when, and where.

The result is planning that behaves more like a conversation than a command. By embedding distributed intelligence directly into the configurator, Logic transforms the design process into a dynamic negotiation among stakeholders, accelerating decision-making while maintaining verifiable compliance.
The Configurator File Type.
At the heart of Logic’s platform is a new digital standard emerging from the CfOC: the Configurator File Type. This open format allows any firm’s modular products—pods, panels, or full assemblies—to be displayed, validated, and sold within the Logic ecosystem. Each file encodes geometric, cost, and performance data in a uniform structure, enabling seamless compatibility between manufacturers, designers, and buyers.

The result is a truly open Configure-to-Order marketplace that just works. Logic’s software doesn’t just sell its own products, it hosts an ecosystem where multiple manufacturers can publish offerings that connect through shared standards, turning interoperability into the engine of industry transformation.
